Heavenly bodies high overhead,
luminous in their presence,
enchanting in their light.
Inviting myth and contemplation,
as we seek to know ourselves
and our surroundings.
Since the dawn of man
we have watched these constellations
revolve around our heads.
This sky full of wonder, deep,
dark, beyond the night.
And if two should collide,
what then?
Their dust billowing out
across the universe,
falling in a million pieces,
covering the ground
making ripples in our lives;
these lives we take so matter-of-fact
and call our own, our own.
And change comes from unexpected
places that seek us out
and bring new meaning.
Such is the impact of falling stars...
