To one whom I've known,
through most of my life.
Who's been there for me,
when I've needed you most.

Impossible to lie,
to one who knows me so well.
Just knowing you'll know,
makes everything easier.

Watching you,
putting yourself aside.
To councel your friends,
when they wanted to cry.

Going through hell,
yet you kept smiling.
Feeling helpless to help,
I've not known what to say.

Now it's nearing a climax,
to all of my knowledge.
But once it reaches the worst,
it can only get better.

Wishing happiness
on one so deserving.
And that the troubles will end,
sooner than expected.

You've been there for everyone,
including my attempt.
Take time for yourself,
and don't look back.
