Caricatures

I, stained by cruel caricatures of love
haunting the hallways of my youth,
and maiming memories of midnight madness.
I, bitten by father Time's tainted and bloody tooth,
never thought to seek solace from above.

Amidst this manic medley, you came to me:
A meditative moment, an emotive melody,
And angels lend grace to your labour of love,
and erase that past imperfect parody;
Behold this perfect passion has set me free!

But, should the ravages of time erase our harmony,
and our loving souls' synchronicity softly pass away,
a little of life's colour will leak from this palette,
but simultaneously, the birth of each beautiful new day,
will be enriched elaborately by this memory.
